We are a group of Christians with a common desire to be just Christians; according to the pattern within the pages of the New Testament. In Matthew 16:16, Peter said to Jesus, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” It’s upon this great confession, this “rock,” that Jesus said, in verse 18, He would build His Church. Whose Church? His Church. That is the Church belonging to Jesus, of which there is only one. It is this Church we want to be a part of. The Church consists of people all across the world who have been saved by Jesus, receiving forgiveness for their sins. And, according to Acts 2:41, it is God who adds to His number those who receive His word. We want to do the work the Lord has given us to do. No more and no less. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says it is only God’s word that equips us for every good work. We want to speak as the oracles of God and to serve one another by the strength that God supplies.
